Daily Success October 13 is “Failed.” Somehow, that’s a good thing. It means that, after six weeks of not even managing to create a success ranking, my effort to get back to the plan and the program is making at least some tiny progress.
The 4.2 km distance is marginal at best for the purposes of burning calories and strengthening my body. It is, however, the best I’ve been able to do since August 17th. That’s a LONG stretch with no significant walking. It was, and continues to be, due to the continuing pain I’ve got in my left back / hip area. The good news is that the pain was controlled enough yesterday for me to do some credible walking. The bad news is that the walking I did required keeping going when things were very uncomfortable.
My hope is that the injections Kristin gave me last week are working. She said they would take some time, so maybe they’re get the job done.
But I must do my part as well and I’ve been letting customer commitments interfere with that. There’s no excuse for not having been rigorous about icing the spot, but I’ve been letting doing my share and more interfere with doing my existing stretches and learning the new ones Kristin recommended.
I do not expect to get back to high scores any time soon. My goal is to return to the habits that make good scores possible.
