What a fiasco yesterday was!
It started with the customer conference call on Thursday evening when it became necessary for me to volunteer to create some examples of work that the rest of the technical team must do. That instantly stood in the way of serious Camino website work.
Then a note from the state that my car’s emissions inspection was overdue, complete with threats. This led to a trip to the emissions kiosk a few miles away and an interminable wait in line for the quick, cheap version of the test. Getting close to the kiosk provided a glimpse of the instructions that included the “minor” fact that it can only be used for 2006 models or newer. Mine is a 1996. Pull out of line and go to the “full service” version some miles away. In line again. Success at last with what I hoped would be a half-hour task requiring two hours or so.
But the extra fiasco came waiting in line at the kiosk when it became clear that my wallet was not in its standard location in my hip pocket. The search began upon arriving home from the emissions test and took another hour or two, including a walk to the grocery where my last memory of touching it was located.
I did manage to do just a tiny amount for August 26th and that clearly demands a vlog post with a reasonably good script rather than just a few words and some pictures or a video taken on the Camino.
Today almost HAS to be better!
