Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving morning: health is hanging in there with no immediate need for back or knee injections; wonderful family with a Thanksgiving feast scheduled for 6 PM; many friends, both here in the neighborhood and elsewhere; a great neighborhood; and a safe and comfortable home.
The feast timing is perfect. My morning can include continuing work on all that I have promised myself, the early afternoon is available for exercise with a football game to take my mind away from the drudgery, and there remains plenty of time for a shower and getting to the feast on time. Perfect!
And this morning a gift of sorts. An old friend’s daughter Cathy is considering becoming one of us, a peregrina, next summer and had a question about socks and blisters. My long answer, which covered blisters in considerably more detail than just socks, will make a wonderful post for the website as Cris and I get it organized.
