Daily Success: December 15, 2022 proved to be a mixed bag of success to report this morning as good progress is being made on the Camino website, but the time spent on that and supporting the customer cut deeply into the time for exercise and so cut into my preparation for Camino 2023. My distance was poor, to say the least. Worse, red sauce and pasta for dinner added the temptation of wine with dinner, which was far from unwelcome, and so the total hours of production ended up a bit low. Or, perhaps, more that a bit low.
Today, I’ve already put up a good post about the joys of August 25th, which included a fine hike from Muros de Nalón to Soto de Luiña that really made up the substance of the day. There was a lot of temptation to add details of a wonderful dinner that evening at the Hotel Casa Vieja del Sastre restaurant. That dinner, my selfie at the right, was simply outstanding and well priced, but it was just the exclamation point at the end of an otherwise wonderful day rather than the real Camino substance of it so I left it off the August 25th post.
But the day is already slipping away from me as I scamper happily though the rabbit warren of my Camino photos and videos. It’s time to get finished with my morning stretches and get to work for the customer a bit. Plus I’ve got to take care of Nabila’s mail this afternoon, so that will jumpstart exercise with 2.4 miles of outdoor hiking and there is Thursday Night Football to take my mind of the rest of the workout this evening.
