Daily Success December 28 – well, that was an unexpected disaster, getting ready for my next Camino hike-wise! Not only was the exercise zip for the day, I didn’t even finish my morning stretch set.

The whole thing started to fall apart when, with the first chunk of my stretches done, I came to the office to get oriented for the day and get my daily success post done. A rabbit hole swallowed me, I lost track of time, and ended up realizing that it was past time for me to get ready for lunch at Bonefish Grill in Frederick with my much-loved cousin, Cynth. That led to skipping the second half of my stretches as I hurried like crazy to get out the door.

The lunch took almost the entire afternoon as we brought each other up to date on oh, so many things. We hadn’t seen each other in some time, perhaps a couple years, and so there was a lot to cover! Plus the food was excellent; the only calamares that I can think of that were better were at a small tavern in Spain. That story will appear eventually!

The good news was that I did get the Daily Success post done and I did manage to straighten a couple things out along the way but there was no exercise done whatsoever, a very bad mark on my tracking worksheet.

I’ve decided to drop the weight part of the title. The titles were too long and the weight, while important to me, is not getting the attention needed for observable progress. Better to focus on what is moving a bit and let the weight be a “success” or “failure” post if it actually moves in any significant way.

Today is already (it’s mid-afternoon) doing better as I was very cold and spent some “get warm” time on the treadmill. That’s a free 1.7 km (1.05 miles) already done for reporting tomorrow. Beyond that, the chores are ALMOST caught up! The customer will probably have to wait another day, but everything else looks doable this afternoon.
