statue of a perigrinoDaily Success March 27 is reckoning time, not a day for declaring success. I’ve been telling myself that my performance has not been as bad as it looked for the last three months. That was not true, it was as bad as it looked.

The weather yesterday was beautiful and I took a moderate walk, 6.1 kilometer (3.81 mile), through the neighborhood and on a short and easy part of the Muddy Branch Trail. There was considerable knee pain, so I took it slow and easy. That, plus a quick walk to our local Giant Food, totaled out the nice distance for yesterday, nothing major, but nice.

I am a hurting camper today. Muscles that have not been properly exercised for three months are letting me know the truth, that I’ve let the distractions and other problems of the recent past interfere with my real objectives: another go on el Camino del Norte, letting my family and friends and the world at large know about it through this website, cleaning up the work I’ve promised to the customer, and getting the first of the Fingy books to a finished first draft.

Today is the first day of putting a full effort back together. That means focus and staying away from time-suck websites like ndnation and George Conway’s Twitter feed. It’s also a day with two important time demands: knee injections with Dr. Higgins and a Zoom conference with Larry Harper.
