Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statueDaily Success May 5 is a tough call. A really harsh counting of the points is “Okay,” but a not really generous count (it’s all about what amounts to an Internet time-suck situation; does an endorphin hit while unable to do much of anything else, sitting in the car’s passenger’s seat, for example, count against me?) gets me to “Very Good.”

“Okay” it is. Little time was lost, but the slips themselves are the issue.

Today is the eldest son’s birthday, so a call to sing “Happy Birthday” to him is needed. He’ll act all “boy, parents are dumb,” might even let it go to voicemail, but he’ll smile.

We devoted about four hours of the afternoon to visiting Elijah at the “new” rehabilitation place. He’s looking a lot better, which says more about how bad he was than how good he is. A very long way to go.

I decided to do Core and Upper Body Strength yesterday, but minimums on both to admit to the limited time. The four hours put a real hitch in my gitalong. It’s kind of amazing that I managed to get so close to a “Very Good.”

Today has a ton of promise at 8:30 AM. Lot’s of preparatory work done for the website, great weather, and some new camera gadgetry to test with a training hike. Time to move on from this post.
