Daily Success May 12 hit Outstanding based on lots of walking. The walking left me with a bit of muscle soreness this morning, a surprise until I realized that I had been hurrying much of the way. At one point, my hiking app announced a speed that is outside my operating range: a 20 minute mile. That’s much faster than my normal pace and it stressed my muscles. I don’t care about stressed muscles, but it also stresses some joints and they can become a problem almost instantaneously.
That also explains the unexpected tenderness on the bottoms of my feet late yesterday.
Exercise is going to be constrained again today. I’ll only attempt one strength and that will be for my legs. The shoulder feels significantly improved, but there is still a clear soreness in there somewhere. The toe is slightly sore, but I didn’t do any special cleaning or bandage it this morning.
Today’s hike will be to Dick’s Sporting Goods as that got postponed yesterday in favor of a stop at a credit union. It was in the same direction, almost as far, and has been on my “to do” list for some weeks. Now for some decisions.
None of the SurveyorBot or bookkeeping work got done yesterday. A minor factor was a visit to Monika for my shoulder as she had an appointment immediately available when I reached out to inquire. Another factor was photos from Zumaia. I’m sure there are some that are not in the directory on my computer.
Hopefully I’ll do better overall today.
