Daily Success May 27 managed a solid “Very Good.” Distance was fair; the key was pushing through fatigue to get my hated leg strength done.
There were lots of distractions, including a visit with Monika for a laser treatment (my shoulder seems to be improving with the laser, a new exercise she prescribed, and the manipulation of it that she does) and helping Jan with Elijah stuff. There was also a significant background effort finding a way to get all my texts from my phone to the computer. It required a software purchase, but it will really be worth it as there is a lot of valuable information in those texts. I was saddened, however, to see that this piece of purchased software that now has a lot of access to the information on my smartphone is a Chinese product as that always seems like a data risk. That risk seems higher, however, for free software as that generally means lots more installations and there is no financial motivation to protect the users who pay for the product.
It also involved being tired. Late in the day, I tried to continue the effort of working with the photos from the text string only to discover that the file location had slipped from what was left of my memory. It was easy enough to find this morning, and the first photo to be added to the website goes to My Camino Day August 4 2021 because it is the perfect “final photo” in the post. That will require a bit of editing and discipline to keep from over-fiddling with happy memories.
Today will also have major distractions as we are headed to celebrate the arrival of summer with my brother, Jerry, and his wife, Anna, at their place in the middle of Pennsylvania. Five hours of windshield time plus the cookout will leave little time for keeping my promise to me. It will be worth it, however, as there will be, hopefully, a lot of family folks there as well; too many of them may not attend because of the limits age has placed on them, but one hopes they will find a way.
