Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success January 18 – Disappointing. Even the slightest improvement would have gotten me to “Okay”, but I was just too spent. There was simply too much to do.

Yesterday

Yesterday seemed like all SurveyorBot but it was really all doctors: Goldmark; Monika; and Kristin. More lab work is required for Goldmark as well as a CT scan and I might as well clean up some Friedman stuff at the same time, including a CT scan for him.

The reason SurveyorBot seemed to take so much time was the never-ending challenge of getting Sam to finalize an agreement on our business relationship. This is just absolutely maddening.

Today

I’ll need to get the blood work done today if at all possible as Tomorrow is tied up with Monika and helping Jan.

Our secret blood place opens at 7:30, so I should be able to sneak it in ahead of Monika. Plus a health food breakfast at MacDonald’s …

Monika this morning at 9, Tony this afternoon. SurveyorBot should get most of the rest of the available time.

Exercise looks like “after Tony.”

The Future

My leg feels better this morning than it has in a long time. It has been progressing, but today the progress is far more notable than it has been in the past. Hope is springing, so to speak, as Monika has been doing massage and laser treatments along the outside of my thigh and working on the tibiofibular joint. She says the problems in those two spots are clear and is now treating them. That typed, victory is still far off.

Monika at 9 again tomorrow. Then Jan to her procedure at 11.

Further out? Who knows. There are so many things that seem unknowable at this point starting with Jan, then my leg, then Sam. And, of course, Steve’s “15 seconds or 15 years, we just don’t know which.”

I am toying with the idea of joining the Confraternity of Saint James. Why add that to American Pilgrims, I do not know, with the exception of their hospitality at the Albergue San Martín, as I mentioned yesterday.
