Daily Success February 9 – Outstanding. I thought it was “Very Good,” but some small control of whiskey last night combined with not being able to find a parking place close to Nabila’s house pushed me to the “Outstanding” line or just above. Being too busy for the Internet Monster to get close to me was another advantage.
Yesterday
Yesterday was still a lot of effort on Sam, but it seems to be slowing down a bit. We sent his totally deficient offer back with real changes that I don’t think he’ll seriously consider. Thus, we have to start putting real pressure on him and I believe we have some spots.
Also yesterday, I got started on my new UMGC class (Poly-Sci 101) and spent some time with Rosetta Stone and Wondrium’s Spanish course. Busy.
And Nabila, of course. I forgot about her with all of the other stuff, but she called to remind me. I must remember to say “thank you” for that.
Today
I’m really feeling pretty good today. The left knee seems noticeably improved.
Today is a lot of medical, Dr. Friedman to talk drug interactions at 11 and Monika at 1:30. Cliff’s thing at the Brew House rounds out the day for scheduled stuff.
My UMGC class needs some additional work to get well ahead of the power curve. Those 8-week classes move with warp speed and falling behind means a very bad grade, indeed. And, of course, Spanish.
And Sam. It’s always Sam and wasting effort working to get him to pay for what he wants rather than just take it. I’m truly sick of him and have lost all faith in his honesty. He’s a chameleon when I’m with him, seeming to agree on everything, then refusing to put anything reasonable in writing.
The Future
I’m now really looking forward to the Gathering as I’m going to be a participant in the hosting.
I’m also becoming just a tiny bit hopeful about the medical side of things. My sciatica seemed pretty much at bay yesterday. A jacuzzi last night, with one jet focused on my piriformis, seemed to help a little as well.
We shall see.
