Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success June 4 – Very Good. I went back to the bike just before dinner to move it from a high “Okay” to the better score.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a good day. No need for a nap, the Internet Monster more or less under control, good productivity. I submitted my next assignment for Poli-Sci early enough that I can do a revised version if I want to any time today.

We had a Zoom with Larry that went well.

Importantly, I’m getting rolling on what to do with the SAGEbot idea. Yesterday included a LONG Zoom with an old acquaintance, Joe Foley, dedicated to robots, instruments, detection strategies, and the like. He’s working on a technology that sounds interesting but is a VERY long way from deployment.

Henry was not able to join us, but I’m hopeful that we can manage at least a good phone call in the near future. Amazing guy with a very interesting new gig! Unfortunately for me, his new gig will probably mean no help from him.

Today

Today has a major topic of reaching out to the references that Klappenberger and CertaPro provided for painting our house. This is the last step before awarding the work to one or the other, with each having an argument for their selection. O’Connor has not provided references. While they are right in the mix for price competitiveness and John has been very responsive, there is nothing in their proposal that would be better than the other two. In addition, while I may be wrong on this, John does not appear to have understood the scope of the carpentry work.

Beyond the painting references, there is exercise, physical therapy, and Poli-Sci.

An encouraging factor is a minor item from yesterday: I didn’t walk anywhere or on the treadmill, but there was no tightness in my left lower back / hip / leg. Perhaps a little testing is called for today.

The Future

The future continues to look bright. The lack of trouble in my back, etcetera, yesterday is encouraging.
