Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success June 25 – Very Good. The second day in a row for a good score, despite too much time lost to non-success “stuff.”

Yesterday

Yesterday was a busy day with lots of chores taken care of. One big one was to tidy up the Library and do a check on two boxes of books to go to Second Story Books. I’ve got an electronics trash run to the County transfer facility and Second Story Books fits well with that.

I let myself fiddle too much with Poli-Sci. It’s become my alternative to ndnation, somewhat the same purpose only with different people and getting credit for my work in the form of a grade. I’m overdoing it, however, and must get that under control.

Today

Today includes Liz preparing the place for company, Larry, and a virtual Forward Party meeting this evening if I have the time and energy. I doubt that I will.

One action that’s obviously important is to find out what day I’m supposed to be at physical therapy at Higgins’ office as having Joanne and Terry in residence will surely interfere with that. Rescheduling is an obvious must.

The Future

The future continues to look good except for my walking ability. Yesterday’s small run to Giant was painful from start to end. Whatever the cause of this pain is, it is very, very limiting. A check with Elaina at Dr. Higgins’ office is called for as well as an appointment to see Kristin at Pain, Spine, and Rehab. The pain does not prevent exercise, although it makes it harder; it prevents walking any distance and that makes the fantasies of another month or so on el Camino de Santiago impossible to maintain.

It’s really about those fantasies. They are incredibly important to me, important in so very many ways, especially inspiring me to keep at the exercise. Whatever has to be done to make them viable MUST be done.
