Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success July 7 – Very Good. Slight control over my whiskey moved it solidly into Very Good. It would have been nibbling at Outstanding, but somehow, I missed doing a Daily Success post on the 6th. No idea why.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a very busy, sort of productive day. Everything took just a bit longer than reasonable. One example was installing the new outside lights post painting. Two screws that came in the packages are the wrong size to screw into our electrical boxes. Not knowing why they would not go in led to far too much fiddling around. Then wire management became a major issue.

My Poli-Sci course is thundering to an end; the final paper, worth a quarter of my grade, went in yesterday just hours before the deadline. This was on me because of choosing a tough topic; made it hard on myself.

Then there was covering some HVAC vents in an effort to keep the temperature in our bedroom where we want it. No need to cool unused rooms, especially ones that have a high solar heat load. The magnetic stuff wouldn’t attach, tape failed, the final approach was packing tape and the cover of a Notre Dame magazine.

Today

Today is much the same as yesterday, save for the Poli-Sci course winding down. Chores, and all that. Exercise. Rehab physical therapy for my shoulder.

The Future

The future should be fun as far as the eye can see. Final plans for France are under way. I’ve got a suggested path forward on SAGEbot that will be interesting as well as effective: just start doing some of the engineering on my own, stuff that I know Sam is unequipped to do, that is necessary, that will be the basis for monetizing the idea through briefings to potential funders and customers, and that can lead to additional provisional patent applications to throw in his way.

Not having the promised income from SurveyorBot, SAGEbot, and the CONOPS work is putting a dent in GoVentures’ cash flow. This may lead to me looking for a gig of some sort post the hospitalero training in September. We need to take a hard look at that.
