Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success July 9 – Very Good. And right on the line courtesy of slight control on whisky. It could have been certain, but the energy was not available.

Yesterday

Daily success yesterday was limited by the continuing tiny problems of not knowing how this house has been modified over the last 33 years. Don did a wonderful job, knew the place from end to end, treated it the way we wanted it treated, and all we had to do was be his friend and pay for his work. Losing him to cancer was losing a friend, but it was also losing the vast majority of the “corporate knowledge” about what was done where. Such as how the big number plate was attached to the brick at the corner of the house.

Physical therapy at Higgins’ office took a lot of time. Meeting with Higgins himself was brief, but very worthwhile as I explained my ongoing pain while walking any distance and he is going to help me with it.

Yesterday did see the last of my work on my Poli-Sci course. It has been a wonderful experience because I’ve both learned a lot AND had a good time. It took more time than it should have because it was fun.

Today

Daily success today requires getting to work on Camino “stuff,” with my 2021 and 2023 journals the keys to that castle. The 2021 journal is already in a pretty good Microsoft Word file, so cleanup and posting as part of the “Ruminations on …” directory should be pretty straightforward.

I also have an evaluation with Dr. Sheikh at Pain, Spine, and Rehab. We’ll see what he says about the pain on the left side of my pelvis, hip, and leg.

The Future

The future continues to look bright. Dr. Higgins set an evaluation meeting with his physical therapy group for July 18, so I have that to look forward to … hopefully a clear path forward.

Other than that, all the same as yesterday, with France starting to loom large in the near term. Clear plans for this website and a path forward on SAGEbot, we need a new name, are also very helpful.
