Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success July 10 – Disappointing. Another very busy day that produced a poor score.

Yesterday

Daily success yesterday should have been good. There was some work around the house, which always seems to take longer than reasonable. In this case, it was painting details on the back fence and a minor touch-up for the first floor powder room door. No big deal, just time consuming.

Plus, an outstanding visit with Dr. Sheikh. I now have an appointment for a piriformis specific injection on the 11th (tomorrow). That is the one-year anniversary of the tiny stumble going down the hill that led to this seemingly endless set of knee, leg, hip, pelvis, back problems.

If this works, problem solved! To quote the song, “I don’t believe in ‘if’ anymore.” But hope springs …

A lot of time went into my 2021 journal. The text is now accurate and a search for some pictures is about half done. It would be a MAJOR post.

Today

Daily success today is strictly up to me. The paint from yesterday must be finished, but that is well underway with the taping and first coat complete. The small repair to the powder room door on the first floor is also well along with some sanding and the tiniest bit of paint all that should be needed.

That should leave plenty of time for stretches, exercise, and seniorpilgrimage.

The Future

Daily success in the future looks even brighter than yesterday with Dr. Sheikh’s opinion that an injection will end my piriformis syndrome. I only wish Kristin had suggested it months ago. I’ll have to ask her why she did not and endorsed the physical therapy and laser treatment instead.
