Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success July 11 – Outstanding. And solidly so, too.

Yesterday

Daily success yesterday was, again, somewhat limited by nothing seeming to go smoothly. We need downspout extensions measuring 4 feet, 3 feet, and 2 feet long. My assumption that Lowe’s or Home Depot would sell such things was in error but resulted in a waste of quite a bit of time. Two 10-foot extensions will have to be cut to length.

Getting an easy method to cut them was another fiasco. A lack of understanding on my part coupled with no real help in the Lowe’s tool section wasted still more time.

So, I found myself with the extensions loose on top of Jan’s car just as the heavens opened and rain began to fall in quantity. Soaked to the skin.

On the bright side, I did get the introductory post for my three [more or less] raw journal posts done. That’s what generated the Outstanding. Working on my 2021 journal last night, I found that the introduction needs a little more work. Not a big deal and should be done today.

Today

Daily success today should be more or less unhindered. My injection with Dr. Sheikh is at 1:20 PM. I am on tap to do Nabila’s mail as my Village good deed for the week sometime during the afternoon, so, depending on how quickly the injection works—assuming it does—walking for that chore may be made a lot easier.

I dream.

Harry Homeowner stuff includes the last bit of black paint on the hinges on the fence gate, cutting the extensions to length, and the patch to the first-floor powder room door.

That should leave plenty of time for finishing my journal post for 2021. It’s almost done.

Today should probably include a visit to Giant to discuss prescriptions to take along to France. No rush, yet, but it must be done in the next few days.

The Future

Daily success in the future continues to look bright. Vince has apparently started ghosting Tim. My guess is that Sam either told him to stop charging (probable) or hasn’t paid the bill (possible). My guess is that this indicates that keeping the pressure up is a good idea. Tim has suggested a brief Teams to chat about that. Very bright, that.

We have, well, Jan has, started getting organized for France in a serious way. Lists are being created. A table has been set up. Action Items are being assigned. Appropriate since we leave three weeks from Saturday.
