Daily Success July 25 – Very Good.
Yesterday
Daily success yesterday was the result of a solid effort across the board. The Internet Monster was back under control, a lot got done to get what I’m now calling FCRS as a placeholder name until we can come up with a good one to replace SAGEbot. While the plan had been to have an introductory document ready for a real review by quitting time today, that didn’t happen because of a constant stream of other things that required attention.
One of the most important, but not an emergency, is GoVentures cash supply and burn rate.
Bottom line on that is that we need some revenue. A quick look says that GoVentures needs to bill about 2,000 hours of my time over the next 18 months if we’re going to tread water. That’s not going to help FCRS move along, but the numbers are very clear. There is a trade study here, probably informal, on how to best protect GoVentures’ financial interests: income, which means the ability to stay in business after my 80th birthday versus pursuing FCRS with the goal of it being a major asset after my 80th birthday.
Exercise (bike) and physical therapy (core) got high marks. Sadly, I still can’t walk because of the (minor) knee injury. The truth is that I need another set of lubricant injections from Dr. Higgins.
Today
Daily success today looks complicated, too. Lunch at Bushwaller’s in Frederick with two of my cousins will be a lot of fun but will consume two or three hours. There is also Nabila’s mail to deal with.
The result is that today’s success depends on concentration and not letting myself get distracted unimportant chores or the Internet Monster. Not easy. But Shoulder physical therapy and time on the bike await. Plus lots of stretches.
And, of course, that FCRS document should be finished, at least sufficiently for Jan to do a good evaluation of its potential value. From there, send it to Joe and anyone else we can think of. It will be interesting …
And another call to National Capital Neurosurgery as Kristin suggested. I left a message yesterday.
The Future
Daily success in the future continues to look good. The need for billings is not going to help achieve success in other areas, but it would be irresponsible of me to not bother including it in setting our plans and goals.
Short term, I’ve got a sciatica injection from Dr. Sheikh on Monday and we head for France a week from this coming Saturday. Add doing some marketing Tuesday evening and it’s clear that real productivity is rapidly coming to a halt.
