Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success July 31 – Very Good. And in a challenging overall situation.

Yesterday

Daily success yesterday really has little to report. The success was mostly on the exercise front and getting it done had to overcome real challenges with a cardiologist appointment just after noon, an hour Zoom with Larry, and a marketing effort in Columbia in the hopes of picking up some paying GoVentures work.

A really focused effort on the bike, shoulder physical therapy, and stretches saved the day from the scoring point of view.

Today

Daily success today looks a bit easier as there are no commitments to deal with. There are still a lot of chores, finishing some of the household fix-ups, and getting things going on FCRS. Especially the new name.

And getting ready to leave for France in just three days …

The Future

Daily success in the future, pretty much as described on the 28th, will be especially challenging over the next six weeks. These challenges are good, not bad, but challenges nonetheless. We leave for France in only three days and that is already a huge distraction, a huge distraction that is growing rapidly.

Three and a half weeks in France will make exercise difficult at best. I’ve upgraded the plan from a black TheraBand to gold, silver, and black TheraBands, plus the yoga mat. It still won’t be as much as usual, and the distractions will be enormous, but it will still be better than nothing.

Professional engagement to restart GoVentures cash flow will take time, too. So will using LinkedIn to publicize what we are doing on FCRS and mentioning the project to my colleagues early and often. And there is still lots to do on expanding my LinkedIn reach.

Then there is hospitalero training in September. The future is loaded with opportunities and ways to approach them. Too many, really. It’s time to accept that AHiRE is a bridge too far as I’ll have no time for it during the rest of this year. Ditto for Poly-Sci classes at UMGC. There is just not enough time to do it all and I must focus on the most important things: Jan, the family, my el Camino website, and the FCRS. In that order.
