Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success September 1 – Not Applicable. The month of August was dedicated to travel and Daily Success was poor at best and nonexistent much of the time. But it was worth it.

Yesterday

Daily success yesterday was part of restarting my exercise and physical therapy efforts. Had it been scored, it would have been “Failed,” but there is too much “other stuff” still going on. We arrived home on Tuesday with serious jetlag, exhaustion, many chores that are way behind, and lots of medical appointments.

That was topped off by terrible problems with my back. I was forced to lie down on the floor while in the passport line at Newark International Airport because of the pain. Other passengers demanded a wheelchair and moving me straight to the front of the line. That was embarrassing, but necessary. A new injection is scheduled for later this week.

And, to add inconvenience to everything already inconvenient, my crown fell out early in our cruise on the Seine. The cruise company was unable to help with a dentist, everyone on vacation in August, so the crown was still out when we arrived home on Tuesday. A visit to Kentlands Dentistry was needed and they came through with an immediate appointment.

Today

Daily success today is about getting back to the basics of exercise and stretching, plus Camino stuff such as this post on seniorpilgramage.com.

At the same time, the whole Explosive Remnants of War robot system work must be started up and made to move forward. That alone is a huge load, but a fortuitous blog post from an investment company gave me a thread to pull for starting it. Ditto with some success using LinkedIn.

The Future

Daily success in the future requires a lot of focus and effort. Medical things this week to deal with my back, Dr. Sheikh plus a neurosurgeon, Dr. Levine, to look at a much to be scared of next step along the way. Getting the ERW robot system moving will take more house than I can probably provide.

Plus, hospitalero training through American Pilgrims is coming at the end of next week. That is exciting and I’m delighted that it’s happening, but the four days dedicated to it are inconvenient at best right now.
