Daily Success September 29 – Outstanding.
Daily Success Yesterday
Daily success yesterday was another conscious choice. I had “Very Good” wrapped up, then realized I was withing striking distance of outstanding and went back to exercising.
Exercise was what drove me above a disappointing score. My strength, primarily my right arm, is still well below what it was before I tore my biceps loose from my shoulder, but it’s coming back. The day is approaching when I’ll have to suck up any fears I’ve got and go back to the exercises that I was doing when the tendon’s connection to the bone failed. Or perhaps just stick to the lighter weights and more reps.
Project Pinecone got a lot of attention. Chores did as well. But watching the Notre Dame football game kept me on the bike. For what it’s worth, this was my first experience with Peacock and it was terrible. There were a variety of glitches, but as the game was coming to an end, the feed froze entirely and all I had was ndnation Romper Room posts.
I did get some good progress on Project Pinecone. The interim project plan is starting to make sense, at least to me.
Success Today
Success today is about Project Pinecone taking the lion’s share of my time once again, then exercise during the football games. Perhaps a few chores as well.
Focus is the key.
Success in the Future
Success in the future looks bright on a lot of fronts: the pain that had me sidelined seems to be in abeyance; exercise has me feeling good with strength returning; Project Pinecone looks more hopeful than I dared hope.
On the other hand, no word from Priscilla. That puts all future Camino plans on hold. It’s only been a couple days, so no big deal. Yet. How long should I wait? A week? That seems minor. A month? That might doom any hospitalero service for the 2025 season. Which, in turn, might create a chance to hike one more time since my pain is under control.
Focus. Patience. Work.
