Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success October 31 – Failed.

Daily Success Yesterday

Success yesterday looked like it was off to a good start, then fell completely apart. Interruptions were part of it. Fatigue another part as it has been since September 16 that my calorie count was in the red and since October 15 for the yellow. I simply ran out of gas late in the afternoon.

Long story short, I collapsed and little got done. No Project Pinecone work other than a good technical Zoom with Paul. No Spanish. No significant exercise.

I did vote, then went to the radiology place to get the X-ray CD that Dr. Levine wants. No joy. The place seemed closed by the time I got there, even though the front door was unlocked. A mistake that was a significant waste of my time.

Success Today

Success today is off to a poor start as I slept late, probably the result of yesterday’s fatigue and consequent collapse, on top of a poor night’s sleep due to right shoulder pain. Very worrisome as that’s the repaired shoulder. And it may be a harbinger of a nap to waste more time.

My tasks look easy enough: Nabila’s mail. BUT I’ve still got to get that X-ray CD and Rob’s Halloween display of King Kong is this evening. A wonderful event with so many kids that they are beyond my ability to count. And I really want to attend for a bit.

Thus, my day will be disjointed at best and significant time will be dedicated to things other than San Martín and Project Pinecone. Real discipline is needed. But real discipline has not been my strong suite recently.

Success in the Future

Success in the future includes Spanish and exercise as the foundation for San Martín in April. It includes concentration on Project Pinecone to get it to where it must be to be credible moving into 2025. Not easy. But “We do not do these things because they are easy, we do them because …” they are important.

Sorry, Jack.
