Daily Success December 4 – Mandatory Day Off. It could also have been scored as “Failed,” but the day off seems closer to the truth.
Daily Success Yesterday
Success yesterday orbited around two granddaughters in residence for fourteen or fifteen hours as the “Washington Area Family Hotel” for Mae Ling’s visit to the embassy to get here student visa for the second semester. These are exciting times for her and it was beyond a joy to share just a tiny bit with her.
Staying up late Monday evening to visit just a tiny bit led to a short night’s sleep and exhaustion in the afternoon. Combine that with a Project Pinecone Zoom in the morning and a meeting in the evening, and by the time there was a little time to exercise, there was no strength with which to do it.
Thus, nothing happened across the board except for granddaughters and Pinecone. No exercise, no stretches, no Spanish, nada. And that was, as it should be, a much-needed day off.
Success Today
Success today will be much easier. There is still a Project Pinecone technical Zoom this morning and a 1PM session with Larry, but no schedule disruption. It would have been much better, for us, anyway, had Shae Li and Mae Ling not needed to get back to their own busy lives so quickly, but one can’t argue with what they are doing. Both are succeeding beyond anyone’s reasonable hopes and living full and fulfilling lives. Seeing them do so well is a joy, indeed.
Success in the Future
Success in the future looks very promising due to the meetings Tuesday evening and this morning. There are a LOT of very promising things on the horizon with some wonderful resources that appear to be available as two of our Project Pinecone volunteers, Steve and Lise, are bringing far more capability to the table than we had imagined.
The Camino side of things is looking good as well. Looking at my overall exercise and study, being ready for San Martín looks very realistic. Not easy, but realistic. And the timing of my service there will correspond to Mae Ling’s semester abroad. Maybe, just maybe …
