Daily Success: January 15 – The day yesterday looks pretty good on paper … or on computer screen. Distance was good and I was successful in completing both Core Strength and Upper Body minimums.
Today should be good for exercise. It is off to a good start with half of Leg Strength and another Upper Body item done. Lots of football will be available to distract me in the afternoon.
I also made a little progress on a new My Camino Day post to describe my first steps on the Camino in 2018. Looking at it yesterday, it became even more obvious that the post needs a video or videos to really get the experience across; words alone cannot describe that dirt road up the hill, my hesitation facing the challenge, and the joy of realizing that I could do this as France faded into the distance. The challenge will be to successfully record happy, positive videos when my heart is simply not in it. I am improving, but today may still be too soon.
Then there is the impending procedure Tuesday morning. I dread it. Dr. Asser has impressed me with his skill and caution through two attempts at this over the last few years, but the fear is there. At the same time, this cannot be avoided if I want to be free of self-imposed restrictions that stem from the rhythm problems.
A very minor result will be that there will be no Daily Post on Tuesday; A post on Wednesday is likely, but not certain.
