Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success April 14 – Very Good. And a solid score earned across the board.

Yesterday

Yesterday included some decisions that were important.

I tried to sign up for the hospitalero training waiting list, but the American Pilgrims website appeared to bounce me from that, probably because the waiting list is already full. An examination of my current physical condition, i.e., my shoulder and walking limits, forced the admission that there will be no Camino hike this year, or at least no hike until very late this summer. Add the two together and my Camino activities must focus either on late this year or the proverbial next year. Bitter pills. But no hesitation allowed when registration for the American Pilgrims hospitalero training in September opens up.

Which brings UMGC into focus. I’ll take a Poli-Sci course again in the summer session and put real energy into both Rosetta Stone and the Wondrium Spanish courses. When I get those two solidly under my belt, and they must be done together as Wondrium provides understanding while Rosetta Stone provides practice, I will attack the UMGC Spanish courses once again. The goal: a Spanish certificate that will help with qualifying as an hospitalero.

I also had some solid accomplishments. This was, primarily, getting the SurveyorBot and SAGEbot patent disclosures edited and Jon’s work, which was excellent, checked.

Today

Today must include my physical therapy, picking a starting place in Rosetta Stone and beginning to work from that, and finalizing my choice of a Poli-Sci class. Add in some exercise and the day will be busy even before I get to work on my Camino website, which I must, MUST, get serious about.

The Future

The future includes getting the patent filings done, then dropping the fact that they are done on Sam and his cohort. I’ve got a plan for a LinkedIn post that would do just that, but must let Tim see it before I post it.

Next, the future requires some planning for both supporting my daughter in her difficulties and making some plans for this summer. No more hesitation as the Camino is out of reach for the next few months. Will our finances allow for Europe, perhaps Greece? Or a river cruise along the Seine or Rhine? We shall see.
