Daily Success April 16 is my first entry since the 11th. It comes with my distance yesterday the same as that on the 11th, but with a caveat: My sciatica was at full power yesterday. It wasn’t so much that I only walked 5.8 km, it was a demonstration of sincere desire that I made it that far.
Friday was a day of some accomplishments. I shipped the two customer documents that have been a millstone about my neck for months. It also included two medical appointments, one with Dr. Higgins, my sports medicine guy, and one with Monika at Dr. Sherman’s office. Higgins gave each knee shot #4 of 5 and, excellent news, the shot on the right side was not extremely painful as had been the case for the first three. Monika did the PT thing and lasered my right and left shoulders as well as my lower back, which has been chronically painful and tight for as long as I can remember. The extreme sciatica on Saturday seemed as though it might indicate bad results, but everything feels much better today. My right shoulder has never achieved “like new” status, but the laser and shockwave therapies have clearly been beneficial.
Yesterday was also successful on “other fronts,” as my chores are fully caught up.
The fly in the ointment is that I’m back to spending too much time wasting time on the Internet, as in news, commentary, and ndnation, the social media site I love and a community to which I am very attached. More discipline is needed to accomplish what I tell myself I care about.
