Daily Success December 17 – Outstanding. The margin was small, and the achievement was not complete until I turned out the light, but it proved to me that my new scoring system is workable and the goals I set for myself, especially Camino goals, are achievable. It was the result of keeping the Internet Monster under control, keeping the booze under control, and an exemplary day for exercise.
Yesterday
Part of what I did yesterday was to modify my Microsoft Excel Workbook a bit to create separate columns for my Upper Body Physical Therapy and Strength Building efforts. I also changed the data entry system from just a “1” to show I had done something to specific ranges for the number of the various exercises I do. This will allow me to track partial days, even if they don’t contribute as much to my Daily Success score. I will, however, continue the practice of carrying something forward to combine days’ work to track what I’m really working to accomplish.
I did a bit more on the cards and will finish that tomorrow. Part of that was that I picked up another 40 Christmas stamps plus 60 of the general-purpose ones.
I also did just a bit on SurveyorBot once again.
Today
Today has got to be dedicated to a lot of chores, especially the laundry. I’ll begin that as soon as Jan is up.
We also have a party to attend this evening. It should be fun and low effort on our parts’ as all we must do is walk a hundred feet or so each way.
Exercise is a bit messed up as the Washington Submissives play in California today, with the attendant 4:05 PM kickoff. The party starts at 5 PM …
The Future
Tomorrow I am to remind Jan to reach out to Larry once again. We shall see if she does so. I will continue with Larry whether she does or not as there is so much for me to resolve at this point. And, very likely, for me to come to terms with. What are my choices? What can I survive? How can I thrive for the waning years before me?
And, of course, hanging over all of this is my back. I see Monika tomorrow morning.
Note here as well that my left knee was particularly bad at the end of the day yesterday and remains sore this morning. While Monika is using her laser and Dr. Higgins is giving it the shots that have proven efficacious in the past, the possibility that I am about to have a huge scar on my leg and a full year of rehab cannot be ignored.
I should have signed up for hospitalero training when the opportunity first arose. Perhaps I can volunteer for a two-week stint at the American Pilgrims Ribadiso albergue next hiking season.
