Daily Success Yesterday

Success yesterday was so-so across the board. Bike time was good, other exercise poor. Spanish was okay at best. Project Pinecone has been set way back by reality and there is a lot of work that’s been done over the last months that must now be revised.

Success Today

Success today requires focus and discipline. The plane crash at DCA Wednesday night and the folderol with the new administration firing people and ignoring the laws on Civil Service protections and computer security are making that very hard indeed.

Success in the Future

Success in the future looks far less urgent today. Lise, in particular, has shown us that accomplishing what we want will be slow to start and painstaking in its pursuit. Coming up with a good GoVentures succession plan is going to be critical.

In the shorter term, grandbaby Mae Ling has begun her semester abroad in the south of France. Her spring break will start just as my service at San Martín is ending, so the hope is to get together for a couple days. Lots of changes for me, but the opportunity to introduce Mae Ling to Barcelona is not to be missed.
