Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success February 10 – Failed.

Daily Success Yesterday

Success yesterday boiled down to letting myself down. Yes, there were things that made that very hard to avoid. The onus, however, is on me. The challenges were obvious Saturday evening, and I allowed them to defeat me without a fight.

My bad.

Then Bill shared the news that his sister is having some very worrisome health trouble. Downer.

The coup de gras? The last football game of the season was a complete waste of a few hours. There was no drama or excitement, at least if one wanted either a battle to the finish or the Chiefs to win. The Eagles made their plans to dominate clear at the opening and never let up. A boring game.

Success Today

Success today requires getting my focus back on the big picture. Project Pinecone must get a lot of my attention because Jon needs my inputs. But the rest of life must get attention, too. That’s on me and on me alone.

Success in the Future

Success in the future looks just a bit less happy this morning. My back, which had been being quite cooperative last Thursday is not continuing to be so yesterday and today. It is the dull pain on the left side that Dr. Swistak seemed to have chased away. More appointments may be necessary.

The future is, however, generally not cooperating with me. The situation with Jorge’s death weighs upon me and upon my plans for Spain. Bill’s sister, ditto, even though I’ve not met the woman. He is very worried. Thus, I am worried for my friend.

The work to summarize technical material for Jon’s patent efforts is giving me a tough time.

Suck it up, buttercup. It’s all up to you. Make it happen. Do.
