Daily Success February 15 – Outstanding.
Daily Success Yesterday
Success yesterday was complete, if barely over the line to Outstanding. Solid exercise, real accomplishments on Project Pinecone, revised airline reservations to enable my meet-up with Mae Ling after San Martín, and an email to Julian explaining how important it is to me that they do what is best for their family without worrying about me in the slightest. They are wonderful friends, and I appreciate their concern for me if they can’t be there as I pass through Madrid, but I’ve spent months on my own in Spain. I speak enough Spanish to get by. I can navigate the trains and the buses.
Success Today
Success today is finishing my review of Jan’s version of the Finance Plan. The heavy lifting is done, so I’m pretty confident that it will be finished without difficulty.
There are chores, of course, but there should be plenty of time for exercise and Spanish.
Success in the Future
Success in the future looks more secure now that my travel plans are revised. San Martín, Mae Ling, and (hopefully) at least a brief visit with Julian and Mercedes are all possible in the plan. Since we will be in Barcelona, Salvador and Tonia are also possibilities.
Flying into and out of Barcelona would have been very nice, indeed, but the added cost just could not be justified.
The fly in the future ointment continues to be my left knee. I’m stunned at what is considered “minor” for folks like me. Can I get out of a chair? No problem! Why do you ask? My difficulty is that my knee acts up after 5 kilometers (3 miles) or so. That makes hiking 15 or 20 kilometers (9 to 12 miles) a problem! How do we fix this? “Fix what?”
Agism strikes again. It is time for me to fight back, once again.
