Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success February 16 – Outstanding. Solidly earned, too. I realized it was very close just before dinner, so I finished up leg strength exercises (only 5 of 6 due to the knee) and got back on the treadmill briefly.

The scoring system is a good motivator. It works.

Yesterday

Yesterday was exercise, Poli-Sci, and Spanish. Sam lurking in the background in my mind. Allen was ailing a bit, but today we must check the status of things. I think Sam is planning to just move forward on SurveyorBot and SAGEbot with a “so sue me” mindset. That will be disastrous for him. Not my problem.

I got in an excellent bike session. It’s anecdotal, and far from linear, but my legs seem far, far more willing to do as asked on the bike. Ditto on the stairs.

My knee was doing much better as well. All this is encouraging. The sciatica shot seems to have done the job this time, Monika’s treatment of the SI joint and affected muscle seems to be helping a lot, and the piriformis, which still a problem, somehow seems to be easing just a little bit as well.

My right shoulder, on the other hand, …

Today

Today is Cliff’s kaffeeklatsch early, Monika this afternoon. I’m going to ask Monika about my right shoulder.

Other than that, exercise, Spanish, and Poli-Sci.

The Future

The Gathering begins three weeks from yesterday. I must make a decision on flights and get tickets. Will the hospitalero training open up? Do I want a couple days in San Antonio on my own if it doesn’t. And what about Sam and all that. If he sees sweet reason, there is much that could be done. If he doesn’t, I probably will be seen as the destroyer by everyone. Too bad, that.
