Daily Success February 23 – Failed.
Daily Success Yesterday
Success yesterday was one point short of Disappointing. There were so many opportunities for me to do better and I let myself down. Failed it is.
There were lots of factors involved, not the least of which was that Jennifer and Eric stayed past lunch. That cut the available time for doing the things that need to be done way down. On the other hand, a significant part of the failure was simply giving in to the Internet Monster.
Discipline. Focus. Hard work. Doing the needful things and cut back on the useless ones. They were all missing yesterday. My bad.
Success Today
Success today should be pretty straightforward. Not easy, straightforward. An early start is combined with nothing on the agenda before the “Old Guyzzzz” Zoom with college buddies late this evening. Plenty of time for Project Pinecone, Spanish, exercise, stretches, and general Camino efforts.
Discipline. Focus. Hard work. Do the needful things and cut back on the useless ones.
Where have I read all that before …
Success in the Future
Success in the future continues to be bright as well as hard. Jan circulated a draft Value Proposition and Funding document for Project Pinecone (proprietary, so no link) on Friday and I looked at it carefully yesterday. The good news is that it shows me what we need for that document. The bad news is that what Jan produced, admittedly a reuse of material I had developed, is not it.
Lots to do. All of it is going to be hard to accomplish. “Nothing worth doing is ever easy.” Theodore Roosevelt as quoted in the Zits comic strip on February 20,2025.
