statue of a perigrinoDaily Success February 26 follows a definite mixed bag for the day yesterday.

My walking distance was terrible, but I did get my leg strength exercises done, so exercise was unsuccessful, but not disastrous.

On the other hand, I got the first draft of a customer deliverable finished. That work has been a major drag on all other efforts for almost a week, so getting it out of the way is huge. I also took my first positive step toward my 2023 Camino hike by a new check on airline prices. ¡OUCH! Then I looked at how jet fuel costs are varying and they have been dropping a lot over the last week or two. So, I’m going to track things a bit more closely over the next week and hope to “make my buy” to create a specific travel schedule soon.

I also selected August 11th as my subject for my next “My Camino Day” post and expect to have the time to do most of the work on it today! That is not just a solid success indicator, it will also be a lot of fun as I’ve often reminisced about that day. The weather was lovely and my confidence was sky high after the hike from Irun to Pasajes de San Juan on the 4th and from Pasajes to San Sebastian on the 5th. The resulting hike on the 11th continued to exceed my wildest dreams.

Mentioning it here led to a quick look at my photos from the day and it’s already obvious that picking a reasonable number of them to actually use is going to be a very, very difficult task. I couldn’t even get past the one of me leaving my host family’s condo early that morning without lingering just a bit!

Ah, well. I have faith in me! It will get done because I will “make it so” as Jack Aubrey might say.
