Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success February 27 – Outstanding. Just barely, but Outstanding with zero margin. I’ll take it.

Yesterday

Yesterday included Monika as a starter, then a long time with Dr. Higgins’ scheduler Marie. My surgery is March fifth.

The Outstanding was kind of an accident. I was on the bike and lost track of time. The result was a big score there that got me over the line.

We had an Old Guys Zoom that lasted until after 9 and was a lot of fun. Larry (of Tri-State) is having health troubles, Dave computer troubles, me Internet troubles. Dave could not get his audio to work and (I think accidentally) turned on screen sharing so the rest of us were able to watch his screen as he clicked on thing, then another working to figure out what his problem was. I also brought the guys into the picture about my February 14 biceps damage. Steve questioned why I would be using 30-pound weights for that exercise when much less might be sufficient. My thought is “because I can’t lift 35,” but I didn’t say that.

Today

Today includes Laura at 10:30, Larry (not of Tri-State) at 3, and poker at 7.

Exercise is important. Poly-Sci is critical as I must get ahead of the curve to allow for post-op disability. Spanish will have to linger.

I also must do some outreach about Sam as part of my share of the work. Tim is not a sure thing. The two other attorneys are maybes. Advice from Bruce and Bill must be sought. While it may be that Sam is going to get away with this, I want to make it as hard for him to do that as possible.

The Future

March fifth is the future from my point of view. I’ve got to get medical clearance from my GP (appointment tomorrow) and cardiologist (should not require going in). Lab work, too. Everything is tied to March fifth.

The Gathering will take place without me as those days will be post-op medical and initial physical therapy appointments. My right arm will be immobilized, so travel will be extremely difficult at best. Missing this trip is a bitter pill, but the injury weighs heavily upon me and I’m beyond anxious to get the surgery done. This schedule eliminates two weeks of worry about it.
