Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success February 28 – Very Good. A solid stint on the bike got me there.

Yesterday

Yesterday was less me doing well than me pushing past things.

I continue to angst over the situation with Sam and spent some time working that with continued outreach to friends for advice and potential legal help. Things seem stuck.

A lot of time also went for getting ready for surgery. The effort required to get it done quickly is truly amazing. On the bright side, it looks like March 5th will happen as planned; Friedman has already given his ok, Dr. Hoang in Dr. Kelly’s office will see me tomorrow. All seems on track.

Today

Today is heavily booked with appointments with Elena at Dr. Higgins’ office, Dr. Hoang at Dr. Kelly’s office, and a Poli-Sci Zoom with Professor Brown. I’m well ahead on the Poly-Sci work and hope to get all of the stuff to be done in March, other than the interactions with other students about their posts, done before surgery. It will be hard, and the quality may suffer a bit.

The Future

Tomorrow I’ve got Monika and Nabila’s mail on my plate.

Friday, Jan and I leave for a couple days at Bethany Beach, this to both celebrate her birthday a week early and to give her some time with the ocean that she so desperately craves. I imagine I’ll take a computer along, but not have much time for it nor the convenience of all my office gadgetry immediately at hand. Little will get done.

At the same time, decisions must be made about how to proceed with Sam and getting a lawyer. Today is the last of Tim’s heavy commitment and I’m very hopeful that I can work something out with his firm. At the same time, neither of the other possibilities has responded.

Monday is completely open at the moment, but I must be at the surgery center early in the morning on Tuesday. I just want it over.

Beyond Tuesday? Lots of time at Dr. Higgins’ office for physical therapy and related stuff. And Sam, of course. All with my right arm immobilized for the next few weeks.

On the bright side, that may well give me the time and forced inactivity on a lot of fronts to do some serious work on my journals (dictation) and YouTube channel.
