Daily Success February 9 – Very Good.
Daily Success Yesterday
Success yesterday was a combination of realizing that a set of balance exercises would push me to Very Good just before going to bed and a lot of exercise bike time getting warm. Project Pinecone got lots of attention. Spanish got none. El Camino got just a tiny bit as the disruptions in my plans for San Martín are making the possibility of a few kilometers in late March / early April and mid-April (Camino Catalán or the Barcelona Way) look very possible.
Success Today
Success today must be built around arriving at Bill and Paula’s for the Super Bowl about 5 PM. That means that anything that might lead to a decent grade for the day must be finished early. It also means that a few points for keeping booze in check are unavailable.
Other duties as assigned will make things even harder. Deviled eggs are our (my) contribution to the festivities, so a walk to Giant and the time to make them must be figured in.
It will be a very serious challenge to stay out of the “Failed” category.
Success in the Future
Success in the future continues its excellent progress on a wide variety of fronts. My work on the patent material for Jon showed a lot of progress yesterday. Jan is working on the Finance Plan and is now on board with my strategy for combining Project Pinecone success with providing a real business opportunity to some of our volunteers that will give us an exit strategy as well. Win for the world and those who face the dangers or the explosive remnants of war every day, win for dedicated volunteers, win for us. It looks possible and it will be fabulous when we pull it off.
In the shorter term, my planning around San Martín and Barcelona are starting to make a few kilometers on The Way look very possible. My body issues hourly cautions about such an attempt. My mind, or what is left of it, sides with my body … until the haunting pleas of my spirit manage to be heard. Just a few kilometers. And in an urban area where food, shelter, and “alternatives to going forward” will be plentiful. Where we even have friends, Salvador and Tonia, in case of a true emergency.
We shall see.
