Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success January 12 – Failed. It is now a week since my Disappointing score on January 5th. Since then, four days have been devoured by the trip to South Dakota and the three following my return home by catching up on my rest to relieve the exhaustion, meetings, doctors’ appointments, and (I think) passing a kidney stone.

“Good times,” as John would say.

Yesterday

Yesterday was more of the same. The 10 AM phone call aimed at moving the IP issue with Sam and his multiple companies forward required preparation; the call lasted an hour and a half; and my action item to put together some thoughts on what my remuneration should be took much of the day. Add in some chores, including getting three of the humidifiers running, and my left knee was screaming and there was no time for important things.

Today

Today will not be any better. Chores, Monika this afternoon, and sleeping very late are not a recipe for success. Hopefully, however, this should be the end of the show stopping impacts of the last week.

And John weighs upon my mind. I am worried about him.

The Future

My knee does not seem to be responding to the injections as it has in the past. It is stiff today despite having no abuse, or even modest demands placed on it. I am discouraged.

No word from American Pilgrims about the hospitalero training wait list.

Sam seems unwilling to provide a reasonable share for me for what I’m effectively given him. He comes out way ahead and yet he fights to keep it all. I’m ready to call a halt to that as well, which will provide the time I need for me.
