Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success January 15 – Very Good. Avoiding whiskey would have gotten to “Outstanding,” but that was a bridge too far given all the givens.

Yesterday

I finally got on the bike for an extended session yesterday. Ditto for some Core and Upper Body Strength exercises.

Chores took a chunk of time and the writeup on how long my compensation should continue for Sam continued to take a lot of time and, especially, effort. The psychic toll of all this is heavy indeed.

Jan and I did have a comfortable few minutes finishing the latest puzzle last evening. Had that not transpired, I would have reached Outstanding anyway. And maybe finished the writeup for Sam. Or maybe not.

Today

Today is a continuation of yesterday. Some chores to finish, the SurveyorBot / SAGEbot wealth sharing plan, SurveyorBot technical work, football on TV this evening to keep my mind away from the fact that I’m on the bike.

What’s not to like?

The Future

Continuing “who knows,” really. My left knee is better today, despite a heavy workload yesterday, mostly on the bike. The bad day on Saturday seems to have been an outlier, possibly affected by the weather. My joints seem to be going into the weather forecasting business.

I got an email from American Pilgrims today offering me a good deal on cancelling for the Gathering in March. Not “cancel for free,” but not bad. They have a waiting list. Hopefully they are sending the same kind of thing to the folks signed up for hospitalero training; I’m on the wait list for that and would like to include it in my trip.

Monika found research by the laser folks about its use for arthritic knees. I start treatments on Wednesday. Confidence is low, but the slight recovery since Saturday seems to offer at least a little hope.
