Daily Success January 16 – Very Good. It’s a good score and I earned it. Lots of chores accomplished, the first draft of the sharing offer for Sam is with Allen, lots of exercise as well.
Admittedly, I did get back on the bike when I realized I was very close to Very Good … it is a motivator.
Yesterday
A very busy day. And I’m a bit more at peace with things. John seems to be doing ok. The situation with Jan really is, as they say, what it is. I can do no more than accept it. Ditto with Sam. Preparing the “how long” document and putting in the work required for a thoughtful answer to that has me ready to tell Sam “so long and thanks for all the fish” one more, and last, time. His intransigence impresses me as unwise.
I did actually look at my Compostela in its frame yesterday and was … what? … surprised to see that it shows the distance from Irún as 828 kilometers (514 miles). I have believed, since being in Irún in 2018, that the distance was 880 kilometers (550 miles).
That does not include being lost, of course. Probably another 1,000 kilometers (621 miles). Or more! I was lost a lot. Some days more than others …
Today
Larry at noon. That’s more important than ever as I move into acceptance.
With the SurveyorBot status Zoom at 5 and poker here at 7, I have to get my exercise done early so that I can be showered. That will work well for Dr. Goldmark at 8 AM tomorrow and Monika at 1:30 in the afternoon. Exercise may be a bit tricky with a shower late or just before my Monika appointment Thursday morning.
The Future
“Who knows” continues to be the situation. A small visit to Giant got my sciatica and knee thinking that had been a bad idea.
No word can be expected about Ribadiso until mid-February. Hospitalero training, probably not until then or later.
The one thing I’m sure of is that I’m going to work hard to get out and about far more than I have been. More reliable for poker, too. One or three or five years; if I’m lucky. It might be zero as the old body sure does seem that way now.
