Daily Success January 20 – Very Good.
Daily Success Yesterday
Success yesterday was a solid Very Good based on exercise (barely over the official line for the score), whisky control (good), and Spanish (both Rosetta Stone and Great Courses = very good). Project Pinecone did well. All in all, a Very Good day.
Priscilla has added another hospitalero to the April 2 through 16 fortnight, a fellow named Jacques will be joining Piers and me in San Martín. It appears to me that Priscilla may see this as risk reduction, but that’s fine. It’s also clear to me that this will make for a “many hands, light work” situation for the first fortnight of the Camino season. Win-win.
Both Piers and Jacques seem extremely friendly via email, so getting to meet them in person will be a real treat.
Success Today
Success today can take advantage of the weather and its elimination of all my “gotta get cleaned up and see someone in person” requirements. Lots to do. Project Pinecone is item number one on the list as I discovered a serious technical mistake in the Concept of Operations yesterday and am anxious to fix it before anyone else sees it.
Exercise, some chores, and Spanish will round out the day.
Tonight, of course, is the college national championship game. Notre Dame will go against “the”™, a school from Ohio someplace. A good game is expected, which would keep me up until 11 PM and present a whisky challenge once again. Ah, well.
Success in the Future
Success in the future continues to look very good. I’m having real success pulling a test plan together that would be relatively easy to do and very supportive of what we are asserting the GoRSS will accomplish. That is likely to be very useful in finding some contract research opportunities.
At the same time, contract research is all the more important as we better understand the costs we are looking at in the calendar year 2025 timeframe. GoVentures will be limping rather weakly into 2026 without some revenue.
In the shorter term, preparations for San Martín continue apace. My efforts will not change, but Priscilla’s decision to add Jacques to the group takes any residual pressure off me. Even my decision not to increase my hand weights for arm and shoulder exercises might allow for reconsideration as an injury would not really have a major effect on Albergue San Martín hospitaleros’ capabilities. It’s probably still a bad idea, but no longer a hideous one …
