Daily Success July 13 – Outstanding. And solidly so with my “Ruminations on … My Camino Journal 2021” having gone live.
Yesterday
Daily success yesterday included a lot of exercise and physical therapy. I did some walking with limited difficulty, which makes Dr. Sheikh’s piriformis injection look promising. He said it would take several days for the full effects to appear.
My Poli-Sci (Course #170) grade was posted, an A, with the major assignments coming in as high B’s and the weekly participation carrying the water. This was primarily due to my subject choices for the major stuff, I went with hard and interesting questions rather than easier and familiar topics.
Today
Daily success today is more of the same. Poli-Sci is done just in time for gearing up for France. I must inventory medications today and get over to Giant to arrange for what I need to cover until September first.
Lots of chores. And exercise and physical therapy, of course. I’m continuing to modify my stretch, exercise, and physical therapy routines and scoring to make maximum sense. The folks at Higgins’ office discharged me, so I don’t have their input. Their last comments amounted to me being at or off the end of their surgery protocols with more weight / resistance / advanced exercises and stretches and so there was no real need to be going there. And they reached that conclusion without knowing some of the stuff I’m doing on my own …
The Future
Daily success in the future continues to look very bright. I’m hopeful about my piriformis. France awaits. Hospitalero training may not be the same as being on el Camino, but it’s still being a part of it. I’ll be able participate in some way next summer if the Fates allow.
I’m also looking forward to the results of my Teams meeting with Tim on Monday.
Another thing on my list is to begin my “My Camino Day” posts for 2021. My current thinking is one for the travel, one for Zumaia, and then one for each day in my Journal. Clearly there will be some “Kentucky Windage” required because of uneven journal keeping on my part, but it should be pretty straightforward.
