Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success June 11 – Very Good. It would have been Outstanding, but no Daily Success post yesterday. That will teach me to get distracted and forget.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a busy day. Exercise was very good and physical therapy got done. That had me on the way to a very good day until I got distracted by things like getting the painting contract finalized (done) and my Poli-Sci assignments (close enough). We had a good session with Larry as well.

Those distractions wrecked an Outstanding and might have endangered a Very Good, except for getting my registration done for Hospitalero Training in Iowa in September. That took a bit more time than it should have because the websites decided to fight me, and I decided to overachieve on listing albergues that met the donativo / hospitalero greeting / group dining kind of criteria that is now listed rather specifically. One was needed and I achieved that in 2018. I’ve stayed in a half dozen or more and got wrapped around the axel of working to identify all of them. Which was not asked for on the application.

My body fell apart on me as evening approached. Pain in my shoulder, lower back, piriformis area, and a feeling of total exhaustion all arrived as the sky darkened. The darkening was rain clouds. My body’s ability to predict the weather, so unwelcome, remained accurate.

Today

Today has nothing on the calendar. Poli-Sci has an assignment due, the mid-term essay, at midnight tonight. The essay is probably 90% complete, so that should not be a problem.

Exercise and physical therapy can take center stage.

The Future

The future looks very interesting.

On the Sam front, I reposted Kārl’s SurveyorBot poster with a comment that GoVentures is looking forward to commercializing the technology on LinkedIn. That picked up a quick 22 impressions. And Mark has asked a question about what’s happening, kind of in an oblique way. That needs an answer. Somehow.

Then there is France in August and Hospitalero Training in September. The Hospitalero Training means getting back to work on my Spanish. Busy, busy!
