Daily Success June 14 – Disappointing.
Yesterday
Yesterday was totally disjointed. I did get a lot of walking in, almost eight kilometers (five miles), but the price in pain was high. My lower left back / left leg just don’t seem to improve. Exercise and physical therapy did not get the effort needed for success. Poli-Sci is fighting me these days; the writing assignments are just not flowing from my keyboard.
Learning? Perhaps.
On top of that, there has been the continuing problem with my cell phone … it does not charge reliably. Verizon is shipping me a new one, or a “new” Pixel 7 Pro that is probably remanufactured. Lovely.
Today
Today is Unk’s birthday. He was the last of his generation in our family and I miss him; miss my mom, too, even though she departed almost 33 years ago. There are too many absent companions to list.
Today also has Cliff’s thing, doubtful, and Monika, all but certain. And Poli-Sci and exercise and physical therapy for my shoulder.
The painters are working on preparing the house to be painted, having arrived early this morning. They had parked in the alley, but getting the cars moved was not a problem. So far, so good.
The Future
The future continues to be reasonably bright. It will get a lot brighter if bitcoin will climb to the wondrous heights predicted. Or Shiba to a nickel. Fortunately, we’re not counting on either one for anything.
The main fly in the future ointment remains the pain from piriformis syndrome, or whatever it is. This has been a constant limitation since I stumbled going down that hillside in Spain and tweaked my left knee. That’s eleven months ago. Eleven months of physical therapy, exercise, laser treatments, injections, and medications. Eleven months of battling against whatever it is that wants to limit my ability to walk distances.
Sigh.
