Daily Success June 6 – Very Good and a solid Very Good at that. It would have been Okay by the thinnest of margins, but I got my Ruminations on Shoulder Surgery post done and posted. It was the first major post in a long time, so hopefully the log jam on larger posts is broken.
Yesterday
Yesterday was dominated by physical therapy at Dr. Higgins’ office. If I counted correctly, there were 22 separate stretches and exercises plus whatever it is that the therapist does with the moving my arm around and rubbing the shoulder process. By the time my commute is added in, each visit takes about three hours. Admittedly, some of that is on me with a full thirty reps when they only assign twenty to some things and a lot of rest periods between things, but it’s still a lot of time.
My Poli-Sci course seems to be moving along fairly well. I’m still having trouble with points lost to avoidable errors such as including a reference with my thesis statement. Ah, well. The goal is to learn.
Today
Today is Dr. Syed for my regular dental checkup. That’s a short walk and he’s very well scheduled so it shouldn’t take too long.
Other than that, continuing to check painting references, and hopefully a painting decision. We also need to get the paperwork to the Kentlands Citizens Assembly to minimize the hassles they will surely add to the system.
And exercise and physical therapy, of course. And Nabila’s mail as my Village volunteer effort for the week, since today is Thursday.
The Future
The future continues to look bright. I’ve increased the dosage on the muscle relaxant after a very brief chat with Elaina yesterday. Hopefully that will finally resolve the piriformis syndrome, but that’s still far from clear. It is a maddening problem, not bad enough to interfere with life in general, but bad enough to interfere with hiking el Camino de Santiago as that requires at least five miles per day and prefers that fifteen miles per day be possible if needed.
Today or tomorrow, I must check with Tim to verify that the emails I forwarded meet his needs in taking the next step with Sam.
