Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success March 15 – Very Good. Not a lot of margin, but not on the line, either.

Yesterday

Yesterday was decent for exercise. I got to the Village program at the Manor, but it was disappointing. Poor sound quality made it almost impossible to really enjoy and the speaker was mostly plowing fields that many others have plowed before him. Dropped by Allen’s office and dealt with the unsigned check. Phone calls with Gary, Pat, and Jennifer. A number of very social emails with a fellow Domer that I enjoyed a great deal. A little Poli-Sci.

A quick email exchange with Tim seems very encouraging.

All in all, a pleasant, if not terribly meaningful, day.

Today

Today’s schedule has Cliff’s Kaffeeklatsch at the Brew House, then physical therapy at Dr. Higgins’ operation. Exercise, Poli-Sci, and some additional Camino effort should do well.

I should note that when I got up this morning, my shoulder range of motion was clearly a little better than yesterday. Like new? No. But noticeably better. I am encouraged and fearful. The five-pound lifting limit is down in the murky “not worth thinking about” weight range and it would be much, much too easy for me to screw up without noticing. Careful. Very careful.

The Future

The future is not complicated right now. Physical therapy is a big chunk. Lots and lots of “filler” stuff like Poli-Sci. A need for more social things, but social things at the Manor are not on my list as I could not feel like part of the group yesterday.

Arles. The name continues to crop up in my fevered brain. While I’m still hurting in multiple ways, I need a fantasy and a vacation in the area with Jan combined with starting on the Arles Camino route as she heads home has a real good feel to it.

Maybe.
