Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success March 25 – Very Good. It was right at the top of the range, and I knew that; Outstanding was within easy reach, but the flesh was weak.

Yesterday

Yesterday was good, not great, for exercise and physical therapy. It also included lots of happy thoughts about the progress with Tim and Jon on the Sam problem.

Importantly, my shoulder was back on its “getting better by the day” track. It wasn’t “fixed” by any stretch, but it was better than it had been on Friday. Saturday, with its terrible pain and range of motion limits, appears to have been an outlier caused by the atmospherics associated with the rain.

I got my Poli-Sci grade for my Rough Draft and disappointed is too small a term. The problem of not understanding what Professor Brown wants of me remains a major roadblock to success. Working smarter is needed as harder is not working.

On the bright side, grandbaby A is in residence for the week, and he is a joy to have around. The only sad part is that his sister, Shae Li, had to return to Ohio after only one night here as she has to get to work, deal with school, and all that.

Today

Today includes a conference call with Tim and Allen to finalize our next step as well as physical therapy. Between the two of them, the afternoon is pretty well spoken for. The morning must, therefore, include exercise, stretches, and Poli-Sci.

The Future

The future looks very hopeful. Tim has promised nothing as yet, but his approach seems very reasonable and could produce outstanding results. I feel as if there is nothing to lose with it, although that can always change.

My shoulder is progressing well enough to make me both very happy and cautious. The five-pound limit for lifting things is tied to my right biceps and avoiding damage. It’s a time to heal issue, not a strength building one or an avoiding scar tissue one. Time is the only thing that will allow my connective tissue to heal and regain its strength.

And decisions are still needed for the Confraternity of Saint James and hospitalero training in Maine. I’m probably late for that due to my indecision.
