Daily Success March 28 is modest, but real success. My walking distance was better than it looks because it was on the treadmill and all at a 6% grade for a total climb of over 300 meters (about 1,000 feet). My leg strength included the most hated of the exercises.
And the leg strength proves, again, that I’ve been remise over the last months as my muscles are sore this morning. No more lying to myself on this!
Even better, progress was made on the website with August 18th’s pictures selected and fixed for lighting and color, then imported into a PowerPoint. I’ll use that to do the My Camino Day post, deleting pages from the PowerPoint as the picture gets incorporated into the web post, then do a narration of the remaining pictures to flesh out the rest of the new post. The only fly in the ointment is that, after a pretty ruthless selection process, I’ve still got too many pictures, 31 of them to be exact, in the file. That means that about half of them still must find the proverbial cutting room floor. Painful.
Preparation for this year’s Camino hike continued with the second of the five injections in both knees taking place yesterday afternoon. The right side hurt a fair amount, something that Dr. Higgins attributed to swelling. Both knees feel better today than they have in months. I probably waited too long for this set of shots.
But my stretches are incomplete for the day, core strength exercises are lurking in the gym, miles remain to be walked, there is a lot of customer work backed up, a White Paper to write, and chores to do.
So, there is much to do. And little time to do it.
Add to that my poker group tonight and, well, a busy day today awaits.
