Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statueDaily Success March 30 continues my slow but steady march back toward “Daily Success” rather than “Daily Making Excuses For Myself.” My exercise was very good and, celebrating small improvements, was the fourth day in a row for satisfactory walking distance and the third day in a row for proper strength exercises. For context, the last time I achieved a single day of that level of success was in February. The last time I managed three days in a row was before Christmas.

It also marked the beginning of a more focused effort to care for my right knee by frequent cold packs; hopefully the swelling Dr. Higgins noted during the first two of the injections will be down by the time I arrive at his office for my next shot on April 3rd. If it is, the hope is that the shot will not hurt as much.

There is a lot to do today. Plenty of customer work, some minor chores, the website where the real goal is completing my final 2018 “My Camino Day” post, and Nabila’s mail (my volunteer task organized by the Village at Kentlands-Lakelands) as the down payment on my exercise for the day.
