Daily Success May 1 continues a generally good stretch, with even a pretty severe application of the new scoring system yielding (just barely) Very Good. That gave zero credit for a lot of background work on the website (see below), and that was harsh, and took a hit for Internet time-suck sites that was not entirely deserved as little time was really lost. All that noted, it would have taken extremely generous scoring to get to Outstanding.
Most of my website effort yesterday revolved around exercise. What started as something intended to be a minor introduction became a path to enlightenment for me. There are a lot of sites that aver that they provide exercise advice for the aspiring peregrino, but it’s advice I generally find misleading because it’s for relatively young and not too out of shape people, explained in ways that are for people with at least a little hiking experience, simplistic, or worse (my opinion is that saying that the Camino is easy probably helps sell the tour packages advertised on the site). Thus, I’ve got another “sub-mission” as part of my bigger goal of inspiring seniors to venture onto the Camino: I also must help them make their adventure a success by being physically ready for it.
Yesterday also had a lot of time dedicated to catching up on way past due financial data entry. That has to continue pretty steadily this week as there is still a lot to do.
Today is set up to be a challenge as we are going to COSTCO. This would not ordinarily involve me, but my hearing aids are giving me fits – the right one, really – and they came from COSTCO. I will have to be there to explain all the symptoms, both large (some kind of feedback sound) and small (some kind of a minor issue with connecting to the charger).
