Daily Success May 1 – Failed. Two days in a row I’ve badly let myself down.

Yesterday

Yesterday was, again, heavily influenced by fatigue. Shoulder pain led to a poor night’s sleep which led to fatigue and a lengthy nap. Add in substituting for Janet on Nabila’s mail as a Village volunteer, and there was significant distraction.

Then there was hosting a small dinner party last evening with me doing the cooking. That took lots of time and a significant amount of my energy. Nothing went according to plan, but the results were excellent. Pasteurizing a few eggs for a safe Caesar salad dressing was a new, and rewarding, experience. That, and some other spanners in the works made dinner very late. And, by the time things were sufficiently cleaned up to go to bed, it was midnight.

Today

Today simply MUST be better. I’m very tired, so that must be overcome. And there are appointments with Monika and Dr. Swistak to get to. My progress with my piriformis muscle seems to have leveled off, and even reversed.

The Future

The future has a lot of “gotta deal with that” material. My notice that I’ve got “gold status,” i.e., I’m old, with UMGC will allow registering for a course. Then there is a trip to Ohio for Shae Li’s graduation with one day extensions to Michigan to see Steve and Becky and Cleveland on the way home both for a pair of short drives and a visit with Terry and Joanne. Both extensions are in the plan, but not confirmed by the folks we’ll be visiting …
